How many calories should I consume while nursing?

Short Answer

Between 300-1000 Calories, with 500 Calories being a safe bet. Basically, consume as much as you need to produce. A healthy infant is more important than dieting.

Long Answer

Various sources list different amounts. The most common recommendations are between 450 - 1000 Calories per day.[1][2][3]
